TIME TESTED, is the title of this weathered tree that has stood the test of time and shows all of the signs of aging. I am delighted to announce that this painting has been sent to Topeka, Kansas for a tour of the United States for one full year. It has been selected as one of the 100 BEST PAINTINGS IN 2009 PAINT AMERICA'S national tour. I am also proud to anounce that this is the third time that two of my paintings have been sellected to tour America as examples of excellent depiction of the American landscape. With each year of selection I recieve one point that goes toward recieving a signature membership. This means a few more letters behind my name and that I have passed the jury of selection at least 5 times.
TIME TESTED is an oak tree that is located in the Cibola National Forest and in the McGaffey area. This tree I have painted many times and with each time there is a different rendition of it. I love this tree! Liken to an aging human being, the tree grows bulges, character lines similiar to wrinkles, and apendages that are not always controlable. It truly is time tested and has endured the tests.
